I saw a lot of blue movement on the ground below the bird feeders and focused on a mother blue jay (it could have been the father) teaching her young to gather food. I knew that I was given a sign of new growth for the future.

I encountered the foxy lady at the edge of the frog pond. She stood tall and silent in the daylight. I smiled and felt my heart melt with appreciation for being in the presence of her beauty. I carried the smile with me through the rest of my day.

I watched three small bear cubs scamper across the front yard headed towards their mother who was waiting at the foot of the drive beside the busy road. She kept her family together until the traffic cleared. Animals are evolving, as are humans.
