There is a place at the foot of the Lupine Field where the golden rod grows tall enough to look like bushes. Other places where the soil is thin, the growth is stunted – like the landscape of life.

I drove along the lower edge of the Lupine Field where the rough ground and thick grass made it impossible for the mower to cut. I saw a beautiful butterfly sipping sweet nectar as it prepared for a long flight south. I felt gratitude.

A View from under the Pear Tree

Because there has been so much wildlife interested in our fruit trees this year, my wife moved a game camera to the trunk of a pear tree. A beautiful view was captured that reminded me that we all see things differently.
